Born in Middletown, Conn., 3 Sept. 1787. Graduated from Yale College in 1804; admitted to the bar in 1807. Practiced law in Jefferson and Oneida counties, New York. Served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1823-1831; presiding judge of the Oneida county court of common pleas, 1825-1829. Died in New Haven, Conn., 29 July 1837.
